Bohemian garnet hit peak popularity around 1880. The stones were mined in current day Czechia, and were traditionally cut by farmers in the winter months as an extra source of income. The stones were set close together, often in a lower carat gold called garnet gold.

This chunky pendant is a showstopper that dazzles in high and low light. I found it as a brooch and have converted it into a pendant, adding a large 9ct bale. It is gently domed in the centre, allowing for extra dimension and sparkle. Just an overall fun, dramatic piece.
