Scottish agate jewellery, or pebble jewellery, was wildly popular in the mid 1800s, as railways increasingly opened up the country, and people took note of Queen Victoria’s love for all things Scotland. This agate pendant is wonderfully chunky and tactile, and is filled with striations that make these pieces so interesting. The stone is secured in an ornately chased 9ct setting, and I have added a large jump ring, so it works on all sorts of chains.

Material: Agate, 9ct gold

Weight: 9.74 grams

Length: 3.8cm excluding bale, 4.5cm including bale. 1.5cm at widest point.

Condition: Very good antique condition
