As far as gypsy rings go, this 5 stone sapphire and diamond version is just about perfect. With rings this old (this one dates to 1897), condition is always a concern, but someone has taken remarkably good care of this one over the last 125 or so years. The stones are flush set, making this ideal for everyday wear, and the band is in excellent shape, with no thinning or evidence of resizing.
The stones are bright and set beautifully within star settings. The interior of the band features crisp hallmarks for Birmingham 1897 and a makers mark for Henry Hyde & Sons.
Just an all around beautiful ring and the epitome of an everyday heirloom.
