I love anything floral, and can’t get enough of these ornate early Victorian floral pinchbeck drop earrings. They are both ultra-dramatic, and incredibly light and comfortable. They are set with split pearls in floral mounts and have tremendous movement courtesy of three articulated teardrops on each earring.
Pinchbeck was an alloy created in the early 18th century to emulate gold. Prior to the adoption of 9ct gold, pinchbeck offered the best simulacrum to solid jewellery of the time. Pinchbeck is significantly lighter than gold, allowing for dramatic designs like these earrings.
