I have been on a real silver kick as of late, and I love these chunky old locket-chain combinations. This large locket is engraved with “DH” or “HD” on one side, surrounded by a highly detailed, decorative border. The reverse of the locket is blank and could be engraved. The rope chain is wonderfully chunky and looks terrific on its own. It is secured by a large bolt clasp.
While I usually don’t focus on the photos inside, I had to share the portrait of the girl with the guitar, as she is just so cool! If only this piece were able to share its stories!
Material: Silver. Please note bales on very end of chain are silver plated brass. This was to give strength and durability to a heavy piece. Not noticeable unless under magnification.
Weight: 62 grams
Length: Locket measures 6cm long x 3.5cm wide. Chain measures 43cm long x 4mm wide
Condition: Very good antique condition. Locket has perspex on one side of frame. Both silver frame holders are in tact inside. Some wear to the bale of the locket which doesn’t affect wearability.
Markings: Locket is stamped with English lion silver stamp.
