I usually pass on these lockets because of condition issues, but couldn’t resist this one, as it is just so perfect. Two pains of glass are encircled in 9ct gold. The locket has enough space to affix a photo or two, or to hold a keepsake or a dried flower (or fresh!) flower. Stuck a hydrangea and a lobelia from the garden in there and think they looked lovely!
The piece is in excellent condition and the frame comes together seamlessly. So satisfying for a piece of this age.
Materials: 9ct gold and glass
Size: 3cm excluding bale
Condition: Excellent antique condition. One tiny nibble to the glass visible under very close inspection (shown).
Notes: The locket opens from the bottom. Designed to be opened about 45 degrees.
