These are everything I love in a s set of antique earrings - ultra saturated, bold, and most importantly, incredibly comfortable! These date to around 1870 - the height of the Etruscan Revival movement in Europe. They are made from gilded 18ct gold and have a beautiful matte finish. The earrings are hollow, so while they are statement-y, they are light and easy to wear.
The earrings have been remarkably well cared for, and are in terrific antique condition.
I am including their vintage box from London based Simmons & Co Jeweller that was last in business around 1975.
Cannot overstate how much I love these earrings!
